FF Segment Checker
What is FF Checker?
FF Checker plugs into a Foundation Fieldbus Segment and operates as LAS (Link Active Scheduler). The segment configuration can be imported before hand into FF Checker to diagnose wiring and device problems. A report is generated to report the status of overall segment and individual devices.

FF Checker is comprised of FF Checker Engine and FF Checker User Interface. FF Checker Engine connects with instrument field installation through Mega Blocks. FF Checker User Interface connects with FF Checker Engine by Ethernet cable for user configuration and operation.
How Can FF Segment Checker Help You?
During site installation and commissioning, some of the most common problems are incorrect wiring connections, loose wires and incorrect device installation. FF Segment Checker is a QA tool for construction quality check before devices are powered up and handed over to the commissioning team.
- Identifies various wiring problems
- Recognizes faulty devices
- Tests and validates the Foundation Fieldbus segment as per design
- Report generation of the segment and individual device health statuses
- Power up testing of all segment devices during construction
FF Segment Checker proactively identifies installation and device problems allowing repairs to be done before commissioning starts, thereby significantly reducing the commissioning efforts ensuring an uninterrupted plant startup.
